Events

General Event merchandising has historically been male dominated and the leading Sports Brands are all involved in merchandising volume opportunities for these major Sports Events.

However, the explosion and massive investment into Women in Sport in particular demonstrates clearly that there is an opportunity for a sub section of women/lady/girls players and supporters for exclusive niche items such as hair scrunchies, bows and twilleys. Silk is much kinder to hair than harsh polyester for example and increasingly used not only to support hair but also as a fashion statement on wrists. We highlighted this for the Solheim Cup with great success as highlighted by these images.

I am seeking opportunities with County Cricket - - witness the Surrey County Cricket Club designs and am in forward discussions with other Counties and Sports.

If there is interest in your arena please contact roland@firehorse-international.com and we will be in contact by return.

Surrey County Cricket Club

Surrey County Cricket Club are massive supporters of Womens cricket and the development of the game. The iconic Kia Oval is the main host arena for the womens matches and in 2026 will be the host ground for preliminary matches and the two semi finals in the Womens World Cup. In recognising this trend and wishing to develop a differentiated womens range, together we created a scrunchie based on the historical 1845 and the three feathers Womens playing shirt. So this compliments the already existing mass produced bucket hats and similar apparel from the leading Sports Brands. Its great to see Surrey’s supporters led by their Director of Womens Cricket wearing their Surrey silk scrunchies in their hair and on their wrists to demonstrate their backing.

At this event, stationery and ties remain a popular merchandising range.
